  • Advocate for IFRS, IPSAS & Local Compliance by ensuring that members are well-versed in the evolving financial reporting and regulatory landscape.
  • Strengthen compliance monitoring by working closely with regulators to enhance the enforcement of financial reporting and audit quality.
  • Support Continuous Professional Development (CPD) through the introduction of structured trainings to ensure members meet local and international regulatory requirements.
PROMOTING INCLUSIVITY AND MEMBER EMPOWERMENT

  • Enhance youth & women participation by establishing mentorship programs to encourage career growth for young professional accountants.
  • Expand opportunities for SMEs & Public Sector Accountants by advocating for equal representation of accountants from various sectors.
  • Improve member engagement by strengthening communication between ICPAK and its members through digital platforms, regional forums, and networking opportunities.
DRIVING SUSTAINABILITY AND INNOVATION IN THE ACCOUNTING PROFESSION

  • Enhance sustainability in accounting practices by promoting continuous ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) integration in financial reporting.
  • Promote technology & digital transformation by advocating for the adoption of FinTech, AI, and automation in accounting and auditing practices.
  • Improve resilience & financial sustainability for ICPAK through developing long-term strategies to ensure ICPAK remains financially sustainable and resilient.

  • Strengthen ties with government & other regulatory bodies through collaboration with key stakeholders such as KRA, CBK, and CMA to influence financial policies.
  • Enhance regional & global networks by positioning ICPAK as a leader in the East African and global accounting profession.
  • Promote Industry-Academia partnerships through working with universities and training institutions to improve accounting education and research.
